    2017:

    July 3 to July 16- annual kiddo trip
    Aug 2 to Aug 14- adult trip to recover from kiddos' outing. Bring on the Campari!

      Sorry for the delay. We did resolve this!

      We took off for the northern section of Michigan; Lake superior country.
      The truck tent worked well for the type of camping we did; moving most every day.

      People mention that they are uncomfortable, and hard to set up, plus you can't drive around with one on; that is basically true, but easy to fix. We built a platform in the bed that the tent setup on. All our stuff went under the platform...

      On the top of the platform was 5 inches of foam...and our bags...

      Very, very comfortable. Setup is a snap; we just leave everything, pillows, bags, etc as is, pull the poles out of the tent, fold the sides into the truck, and cover with a canvas and bungee for the next stop...

        We hit some back country, too; logging trails with some real remote areas. Eventually, the roads got so bad (after this was taken), our suspension was not up to the task, and we had to turn back.

              Just heading down to California right now to meet up with friends to go off roading in tahoe to go on the Twin Peaks trail. Eee I am excited, I havent been in a while!

                Saturday we are leaving for the Sandia Mountain near Albaquerque. We are pretty excited. My first time west. We will be tent camping and hiking.
