    Re: What did you forget?

On our first camping trip I forgot the tv and radio so we had to sit around the campfire and sing camp songs....
Today, if kids are present, all electronic devices are off except for a phone for an emergency call if needed and we still sing camp/church songs around the fire.
If it is just us older folks then we might stay up to the wee hours reading and most likely on our tablets. We still enjoy the campfire and singing and a s'more or two

      Re: What did you forget?

First trip out I was 6 weeks old. I don't make lists usually and have forgotten just about everything you can think of over the years like tent poles, sleeping bags, can openers, matches etc. There is always a way to get by without them. Try watching a program like "Naked and Afraid" for perspective about what people really need to survive and even be comfortable.

I like Mike's post. Always forget something so you can learn to live without it. Brilliant.
