  • Where in california?

Hey... My friends and I are planning to go camping in the snow february 18-20. We have all the right materials and we have a few places in mind, but we could use a new place. Where is a good undeveloped camping area that we could go to?I live in Sacramento, California.

You might try up at Malakoff Diggins State Park. They've got cabins you can rent nightly, but seeing as how it's a state park, I bet you could tent camp if you want.

Head out 80 to 49, take 49 north, then 49 splits off to the left when 20 keeps going staright. Take 49 and you're getting close. There's info on the Cal State parks page.
    Edit: Location-Directions
From Nevada City, travel 11-miles north on highway-49 toward Downieville. Turn right onto Tyler Foote Road, stay on the pavement and follow the yellow line to the park. The road changes names a few times (Curzon Grade Road, Back Bone Road, Derbec Road, North Bloomfield Road). These are not high-speed roads. The park is 26-miles from Nevada City.
