info on primitive camping in desoto nat'l forest, Ms?

Hi everyone. I'm in New Orleans and looking for primitive camping within 3-4 hours drive. I hear desoto is nice, but how secluded are the tent sites? I want to feel as far away from city an d cars as I can. Next to water is nice. Maybe something a little scenic? Im open to other camp grounds and im prepered for a hike in.

Airey Tower Lake in Stone County is good. They have bathrooms ,lake, hiking trails along the river.
