where to camp??

hi all! im looking to go camping this year in colorado and not too sure where to go. im looking for a place where i can be off away from others, so not in a crowded campground, (but still legal). maybe near a stream and in the forest. also dogs would need to be permitted. if anyone has some ideas it would be greatly appreciated.

Up near Deckers...anywhere along the North Platte. Great camping, my lab loves it up there. We always go up just south west of Pine, CO...along the North Platte.

so are there random campsites up near deckers where u can be off on ur own or just campgrounds??

No campgrounds, just camping areas Some are marked...most poeple just make their own. Busy weekends you'll see other people, sometimes you won't. it's pretty casual.

Hwy 285 to Pine, CO.
turn south
Left turn at the bottom the hill, before you cross the South Platte

Those are off the top of my head, not looking at map.
