Recently we took a trip to Valdez, AK. I researched all the campgrounds in the area and decided on Blueberry Lake CG which is about 25 miles away from Valdez. We had decided on this one because we were worried about the ones actually in the town being full. Boy am I glad we stayed here instead the ones closer to town. It was beautiful and quite and had nice camping areas. The ones in town were packed and the vast majority of them were nothing but RV parking lots. I felt sorry for those people. They were packed in like sardines. So, if you're ever in Valdez, skip the in town campgrounds, the drive to Blueberry Lake is worth it.
