Davis Mountains

[West Texan]

Does anyone know where there is info on places to hike and camp in the Davis Mountains besides the state park? The best info I've found is summitpost and may try to call some of the land owners. I am looking for a remote hike where there will be a stream or small lake to filter water to spend a weekend next month sometime. Want to see what backpacking is like without carrying 20-30 pounds of water...lol
