Campground suggestions for Chicagoland area?

We have an RV and we are looking for a campground with permanent/seasonal sites.

We have two boys, 3 and 1 so kid friendly would be ideal.
My husband REALLY wants to be by water, especially if we can put our boat in it.
We would also prefer to not really be super close to our neighbors.

Does such a place exist?

We would be willing to travel 2-3 hours too.

We're from the Chicagoland area too and do all state campgrounds. Not sure if they do permanent site but here are a few of my favorite state campgrounds: Chain o Lakes, Kickapoo, Starved Rock, Brown County (IN, just south of Indianapolis). We've also done Bong Recreation Area in WI and liked it, I believe it was close to the Milwaukee area. Those all are close to water, some closer than others.
