???Why Isn't My First Post Showing Up???
This camping forum site is maintained on a daily basis by humans, not automated machines!
There is a moderation period that everyone who is a registered user must go through. After the moderation period then an individual will be granted his/her own public community profile and their comments and or questions will readily be made available.
This is what makes www.campingforums.com so unique from other camping sites world wide; it's the human touch! Once a moderator has read your message, comment or question and has decided that you aren't a spammer, a troll, or some illegal agent then that moderator will approve your message. Usually within a 24 hour period, but most often times sooner than a couple of hours. A moderator(s) doesn't sit ideally by, twiddling his/her thumbs waiting for someone to register and post a message. The moderator(s) are human beings that have their own life to lead beside taking care of policing the website.
The moderator(s) does this for free, he/she isn't on any camping forum payroll. They go camping, get haircuts, take vacations, pay parking tickets, serve on court duty. They don't clock in or out. They use their own equipment(computers) to moderate the forum. It is a thankless job. They aren't issued smart phones, ipads, laptops or desktops, they use what they have means to purchase.
You also don't have to attempt to re-post the original message. Write it once, it will be read by a moderator and if it is a legit comment, question or subject that is held in honor by normal people who like to camp, your message will be approved shortly!
