Channel Islands National Park is a spectacular place to camp.
With over twenty islands, each with its own unique character, you can choose the island that best suits your needs.
If you're looking for a place where you can swim in the ocean and see incredible wildlife, Santa Cruz Island is your best bet. The island also has a wide variety of plants and animals as well as amazing views. (Check out our journal for more details)
If you're looking for something more secluded, San Miguel Island has more than one mile of sandy beaches and lots of wildlife. It's also the only island with year-round water access so it's perfect if you want to go camping during the winter months when most other national parks are closed due to snowfall; however, this means there's no electricity or running water so plan accordingly.
The islands have many campsites available that have been built specifically for camping; however, some islands also have primitive campsites where people who want to experience nature at its finest can pitch their tents without any amenities nearby (except maybe some firewood).
