  • Campsite Review Colorado campground Woodland Park Colorado

    http://www.recreation.gov/camping/co...O&parkId=70684

(Second hand info; I don't normally camp at paid sites, but they were all so up on this place that, I decided to post it here and I will probably give it a try).
We got to talking (friends and I) around the campfire this past weekend and they (2 families; one tent campers one pop-up camper people) all gave a very good to great recommendation for Colorado campground near Woodland Park.
Seems to have sites with good space between,
Quiet hours after 10:00 pm, has reserved and first come/drive in sites.
Fishing in a near by (walking distance) lake (closed after dark due to a drowning).
    Picnic tables,
    Toilet facilities,
    Not sure about electric hookups.
Very family oriented (no all night partyers).

    Enjoy!

2006 Jeep Rubicon, TJ; 4.11 gears, 31" tires, 4:1 transfer case, lockers in both axles
For DD & "civilized" camping; 2003 Ford explorer sport, 4wd; ARB & torsen diffs, 4.10 gears, 32" MTs.
Ground tents work best for me, so far.
Experience along with properly set up 4WD will get you to & through places (on existing, approved 4WD trails) that 4WD, alone, can't get to.
Working...
