Looking for recommendation for spots in the TN or NC Mountains.

We will be traveling in June. Looking for a nice spot for my family (includes two 6 year olds) in the TN or NC Mountains. We like fishing in streams and creeks and the kids love to play in the water. We don't like to hike to our spot as we use a heavy canvas tent. Anyone have any suggestions?

there are two areas we camped at last year...
one was Davy Crocket Birthplace State Park in northeast TN... Greenville/Johnson City area
the other area was at Carden's Bluff in Cherokee National Forest


Davy Crockett Birthplace SP sits right at the Nolichucky River, so there is easy access to the river for fishing...don't remember if
there was swimming though...the river was flowing pretty fast when we were there...
