Anyone have a great suggestion for Summer only tent for family of 5?
We've decided that our REI Kingdom 6 is more of a spring/winter/fall tent for us here in central/south NC. (works great for those seasons). However, it's horribly hot in the summer, due to the two walls of no screening (no air flow no matter what we try).
We also have a 2 person REI half dome (or a similar version) which we love - it's cool in summer, warm other seasons, goes up easy, etc.
We have 3 kids - 10, 7 and 7 (two girls, a boy). Many times the guys will use the 2 person tent, while the gals use the larger tent. However, we can't handle that hot tent any longer. (I think even the cheap old coleman is cooler).
I'm wanting to get a very ventilated tent to use in summer (which for us is May through Sept, as we have a lot of humidity).
I was looking at the Eureka Copper canyon but am not sure about it.
Any suggestions?
