I haven't had internet for a long time, but I just got a new laptop so I'm back!

I'm a sleeper, I can sleep 10 hours a night no matter where I am. I WANT to wake up at the crack of dawn when camping, but it takes a lot of effort and a lot of coffee!

Ok, to clarify -- Sleeping 10-12 hours is just during the winter. Dawn is my favorite part of camping too. I'm awake instantly with the first traces of sun. Well, actually the pre-sunrise birds usually wake me.

But, I am insanely attuned to the sun. As soon as it goes down, my energy level plummets. & I'm not one to stoke a campfire all evening. So during the winter, when it's dark from 5:00pm to 7:00am, I can sleep a lot -- but only outdoors. I usually sleep 5-7 hours at home. But get me in the woods, with fresh air, peace & quiet, and I go into serious hibernation mode.

I'm the opposite. When the sun goes down, I get energized!

It is indeed nice to see you on the boards again, maggie. I had been wondering where you went.

I generally like to get up at dawn too - the old military habits hang on!
But when it's frigid outside the tent, I'll stay comfy and warm in my bed, under my blanket and on top of my air matress........ Ah, so comfy.
Once I hear the campmates stirring, I roll out and get some coffee and breakfast.
Longtime Motorcycle Camper. Getting away from it all on two wheels!
