  • Coleman Popup Roof

We recently purchased a 98 Coleman Mesa popup and have notice it has a Roof that sag in the middle. We found a brace to install to prevent the roof sagging and to prevent further damage to the ABS shell. However we are not sure how to install the braces inside, we know we want to install on the ceiling inside. Does anyone have any advice or anyone know if you should bolt the braces completely though the roof of the camper? Any suggestions or advice is welcome. Thank you

    Re: Coleman Popup Roof

I wouldn't put anything into the roof. Contact cement will secure just about anything. I sure wouldn't us the ape glue as it expands and makes a huge mess. How about putting some kind of supports running accross the bottom of the roof and securing it on the sides, maybe about every 16" or less, it does not have to be but an alumn. pipe about 3/4'" in dia. Bolts rust even the norust type do eventually.

    What do ya think?
