Advice on a Coleman Laramie

Looked at a Coleman Fleetwood Laramie. Asking price was $4000 but offer of $3200 was accepted. This is a private sale found on Craigslist. Two issues: there is a crack in the front and a nickel size hole in the top of the canvas over the bed. The owner told us he bought the camper three years ago with these issues. The hole is patched with clear tape and it has never leaked we were told.
Silocone was applied to the front of the camper and it has never been an issue.
Besides this the camper is great. Should we be worried about the crack?

Around here, Fleetwoods and similar rigs have to be pristine to get $3,000

Patched holes in the canvas- especially the top canvas drastically reduces the value. They can be effectively patched, BUT. It still reduced the value
