When camping, it is without question you will encounter bugs of all shapes and sizes, but in my opinion the smallest ones are the ones you need to watch out for. Ants are notoriously pesty when it comes to camping. They manage to get in everywhere!
Some of my best advice to avoid ants would be to:
- Put all of your food except for canned goods in SEALED tupperware containers.
- Never leave food lying around.
- Wash up your used dishes straight after a meal.
- Scan the ground area before pitching your tent or parking your car to avoid ant hills.
- When possible always keep your tent zipped to prevent as few bugs from getting in your tent.
These tips are not only good for preventing ants, but also for preventing pretty much all wildlife. If you can follow these tips you should be one happy camper!
