      Very nice Breezy
      .................
When I awoke, the Dire Wolf
      Six hundred pounds of sin
      Was grinning at my window
All I said was, "Come on in".

Been a while since I was able to get in a five day trip. Had people coming and going the whole time, so I got to see the usual gang of idiots and got to make some new friends. We keep thinking we'll go camping somewhere else, but Green Ridge State Forest is still the closest place for all of us that's far enough away to feel like we're really "away from it all". This trip brought my days in the woods to 16 this year - and we're getting in another trip in November.

Fall trip to Green Ridge State Forest - I'm usually the first one there

The next day, the village was complete. 6 tents, two campers and 21 people

This is our camp site at Shoup Bridge, Idaho.

I tried to post a large photo and it's only letting me post this tiny thumbnail.

The green netting on the windshield is mosquito netting.

How do I make the images larger?

Why do you have mesquito netting on the hood of your van.

I am not sure but think it has to do with the size of the picture saved on your computer. Try editing the picture, enlarging it and saving it and uploading it then.

It kills me when I see views like that. Makes the east coast look so small and inconsequential. One of these days I'll get "somewhere else"...

This was my first outing with the Kodiak. -9° was the lowest reported temperature for the nearest town. Never did get the wind chill number but, at times, it had to have been 20 mile an hour wind coming through the site. Tent was toasty with the Big Buddy running.

Its a common high quality heater,
uses those 1 lb propane bottles, or connects to larger tank,

cant go wrong with a buddy heater
