nice firecamps you have there... just curious, does anybody ever try the ancient way by hitting 2 firestones or by rubbing two woods againts each other to make the fire? tried it once with no success, hahaha... :p

Yeah - we were serious pyromaniacs back in the day. The original plan was to put ten oak pallets on the fire to see what happens. As it turns out, we'd put three pallets on and the tops of the trees were starting to smoke. The problem was, the heat was so bad, we had a hard time getting close enough to knock it down, even with a six foot pole. To get the picture with someone standing there to show the scale, he had to jump in *click* jump out.
I can't say we don't still like to burn a lot of wood, but we haven't smoked any treetops since then.Last edited by MacGyver; 09-11-2018, 07:54 PM.
