      Re: Open Ski Areas

We got about three inches of snow here in Wisconsin. It mostly melted over the weekend, but I saw a guy trying to XC ski on the leaves and remaining slush. I was walking my dog on the same trail and not enough snow to leave footprints.

The sportsmen here are looking forward to snow.

        Terasec!! Soo Adorable!!

Thank you for letting me know Mike! Here is a photo of the flurries that we just got. Right near us there is a large body of water called Lake Wise, and there is a nice top layer of ice! The middle photo was of when we were on our way up to Cyprus mountain!

          Re: Open Ski Areas

As of today, there is enough snow in most of Wisconsin to cover the ground. Not really enough for, cross country skiing unless you use your rock skis. In the north, there is more snow and some folks are skiing. Most of the downhill areas in Wisconsin and the upper peninsula of Michigan have been making snow, so they are open.

This winter, I will winter camp at least five times. I usually winter camp for about 3 to 5 days at a time.
