I just got back from four days primitive camping/skiing in northern Wisconsin. Mercury got to -9 F. With windchill at -30. Pretty challenging conditions even for the hearty

I didnt camp out
Just some ice fishing with the lil one
Temp was about 15 degrees but very nice
Tent really helped , made a big difference to be out of the wind.

Yes wind is the real killer. Nice to see the youngster outside. Did you eat the northern?

i usually wouldnt keep a small one, just at the legal limit,
hard to filet without bones on small ones.

but being his first did take it home, for his grandparents to try it.
