  • Museums!

Last week did a short tour thru southern Michigan and returned to northern Indiana.
Stayed at Fireside in Auburn then on to Nappanee and Amish Village.
Auburn has a potpourri of museums.
To myself I find the, Auburn, Cord/Duesenberg and the muscle car display that is part of it, my favorite.
Next was across to Nappanee and the Amish Village. Quilt displays for wife.
    And the food for me.
Highlight was next day and Elkhart and the RV Hall of Fame. Worth two or three very well spent hours.
Then next day on to Peru and Cole Porter museum. If you are not a fan? See movie De Lovely .
It presents a nearly accurate Bio of his life.
A very interesting life, that all may not approve of. But, his list of hit songs is endless and many are still played today. Same can be said for his Broadway
    Musicals.
Today need to clean and tidy Trek for next outing.

If you ever get to Nashville, be sure to check out the Lane Motor Museum. They have the largest collection of cars and motorcycles that were never imported to the U.S. Some of them are really weird. Some are astonishingly beautiful. Definitely worth the $7.

True, driving here is not for the faint of heart. But there is a great city to discover if you can survive the madness.

Agreed. When we venture south to visit Fort Rucker area. Southern Alabama or to Florida Panhandle we grit our teeth and do it. Don't mind downtown. Have visited the old Opry House.
And, the new. Great fun. Good food.

As a former Michigander, got a throw my 2 cents in. Greenfield Village and Henry Ford Museum are must sees. Both are about 20 miles outside of Detroit in Dearborn, MI.
