HELP!!!! Camping North Carolina/Mississippi

Planning to make a couple trips in early 2011.
One to Stone Mountain North Carolina and another to southern Mississippi.
Carolina is to visit wifes parents homeplace.
Mississippi is to visit warmer climes.
Any advice or campground information would be great.

Here we sit in a site near Athens, Alabama.
We head for Florala, Alabama in morn.
Son reports our temps at Seymour, Indiana dropped from 60 this a.m. to 30's.
Snow is called for in morn.
Left just in time.
Good drive so far.
Glad we have Nashville behind us.
More tomorrow.
