August 30th is the start date for Reno and most California schools....that's why the campgrounds will be empty! Yippee! Here comes one of the best seasons to go campin in, by cracky! :D:D

Our schools began yesterday - the 23rd - not all but most. Nice..... no more kids playing in the streets at lunchtime...... :D
And our camping season starts soon, once the heat breaks. We'uns down heah in the Deep South hardly camp in the summer.......

I's feels fer ya, dawg! When I was serving our country, being an US Army photog I was blessed with a short (TDS)temporary duty station for the magazine "Army Times", was sent to Camp Swampy(Ft Stewart, GA) fer 3 months(J-J-A) and my airborne ranger status was earned at Ft Pewk(Polk), LA back in the early '70s during that same time a couple of years earlier.
