  • Length of stay....

How long do people camp for.......2-3 days?.......2+ weeks?......
Do you stay at one place, or move parks/sites?
Myself and family now go for 15 days and stay in one park/site.
When I was little our family used to take 2 weeks and see how far north we could go.........usually 1 or 2 nights in a park per stay.
We made it as far as Kakabeka Falls beside Thunder Bay on the map.

From Buffalo (as a reference point) to Thunder Bay is 994 miles.

Hey Ontario, I'm planning a week...week and half long camping trip with two other people, all of us beginners to camping. Do you have any suggestions as to necessities we need to bring with us on a 7-10 day trip?

So far, my longest stays in one place have been four days and nights (Thursday thru Sunday - left Monday morning) at a local campground where we have a yearly meet - and I am on the staff for the Meet.
At other out-of-state Meets, I have stayed three days/nights.
But otherwise, I generally make it one or two days at a time.
Our local camping areas do allow a maximum of fourteen days consecutive at one campsite, some are free while others require fees.
