I have a Coleman, rectangular, fiberfill sleeping bag. Curious if you can wash these like sheets, or you should do something else to keep them clean?

During use; I purchase sleeping bag sheets/liners from amazon or wallymart..
during transport; I use a standard military wet weather bag from a local surplus store.
Years ago I found that a quick wash up with a wash rag, at bed time, before entering the bag helped keep the interior cleaner and warmer.

For DD & "civilized" camping; 2003 Ford explorer sport, 4wd; ARB & torsen diffs, 4.10 gears, 32" MTs.
Ground tents work best for me, so far.
Experience along with properly set up 4WD will get you to & through places (on existing, approved 4WD trails) that 4WD, alone, can't get to.
