I have an astro van that I would like to turn into a self contained camper. It will only be me living in it, or at most, one other person. I am looking for ideas for a toilet. Obviously, the less odor involved the better. I remember seeing some products advertised years ago that had a plastic bag in them...when the bag was full, you sealed it and tossed it. Is this still available? good or bad? would like to stay under $300.

Check into the Luggable Loo. We used it when tent camping and now use it when traveling during winter. The Reliance Extra Large bags are probably the best but pricey. We are trying a cheaper option this winter. We also use poo powder to gel the waste. You can try a cassette toilet also. Those you empty the waste into a dump station or a toilet. We prefer the bags.
