  • Transcontinental Picnicking

I'm thinking about road trips. With inflation, they're going to be more expensive than ever in 2022.
I'm also thinking about picnicking. Lunching on economical fresh, local specialties at a scenic wayside.

What scenic rest stops and local specialties have you enjoyed?
What towns, farmer's markets or shops did you source your provisions?
Do you have a cool looking picnic basket?

    Watermelon in Green River, Utah
    Artichokes in Castroville, CA
    Oysters in Marshall, CA
    Cheddar cheese in Maytag, IA
    Crawfish in Lafayette, LA
    Sausage in New Braunfels, TX

    Hungry yet?

We normally do picnic just in our local park but I would love to travel for at least an hour for a picnic with another local delicacy.
