Re: What is your idea of glamping? (glamor camping)
My sister says b/c we camp in a camper and not a tent like her we're not really camping. So to her, a camper is glamping. To me, having the toilet hooked up inside this year was wonderful. We don't normally hook up the potty inside or even hook up the water inside. We just use the faucet outside for all of our water needs. Having hot water at the ready from the outside shower was wonderful on our long trip we took this year. Even my sister benefited from it by not having to boil water to do her dishes with. So I say having the water hooked up to the camper is glamping!
The Labor Day trip w/o the kids was wonderful too.
Re: What is your idea of glamping? (glamor camping)
I currently tent car camp and my idea of glamping is to sleep on an air mattress on a stand, with rugs under my feet and uhm well yeah occasionally vintage lace curtains replacing the room divider that Eureka provided. Errrr I also require colour coordinated bedding and a few down throw pillows that multitask as sleeping pillows. I also need every kitchen utensil I can dream of and a full compliment of herbs and spaces. A kitchen tent has been known to make me giggle. My picnic table needs a table cloth ( vinyl. Or a shower curtain. Or oilcloth) as well as some sort of centerpiece. It could be a hurricane glass with a citronella candle or a collapsible colander filled with fruits and nuts. 2 place mats make a nice table runner and melamine plates and metal silverware makes me feel like we are dining not just eating. And since I'm not in charge of cleanup I weally don't care .
I could go on and on but I'm sure you get the picture.
2017:
July 3 to July 16- annual kiddo trip
Aug 2 to Aug 14- adult trip to recover from kiddos' outing. Bring on the Campari!

NYCgrrl, you and my bff would get on great. She and her hubs went with me and my hubs labor day. She brought twinkling fire fly lights b/c they were pretty, lol. I'm pretty simple when it comes to camping. I don't take my make up with me. All my shower potions from home turn into a bottle of 2 n 1 shampoo and cond. and some hotel soap for a shower. I do take my moisturizer b/c it has an spf in it, and degree but that's about it for toiletries. I don't even shave my legs when we camp....eeekkkk,lol
