I enjoy talking and learning of other's experiences camping. I find that as I lear more, I can optimise my own camping. I learn what works, what doesn't, and no longer carry a bunch of stuff that is just useless weight. I also learn of great new places to go and see.

Ha, ha! Funny poll - I'd like to think folks like Jedediah Smith and John Muir would be sharing on the Internet their ideas and places they'd been, if they were around today. The fact that their stories live on today is a testament to the importance of telling stories. Inquiring (current and future) minds want to know!
