I am looking to do an internship over the summer I want an area that is big in recreational activities..sure i can use the internet but i was wondering if anyone had any first hand experience?

Alaska is really into outdoor recreation. After Alaska, Colorado comes to mind. I know that the BLM does internships.

Dakota's are good for outdoors but its pretty flat
Georgia is a nice place,
South carolina

I can attest to Colorado, North Dakota, Georgia, and Arizona. I dream of Alaska.

If you can, go to Alaska. Barring that, try for Colorado, then Arizona.
