What sayeth the fried bologna sandwich community?

I'm getting my umpteenth coronary stent tomorrow, so I'm long out of the loop among the fried bologna sandwich (FBS) community, even though fried bologna does make a delicious sandwich!
The last i was involved in the FBS community, the big debate was stick bologna versus pre-sliced and I assume that after all this time the dust has settled on that issue.
What I was wondering was the consensus on mayonnaise. Does mayonnaise truly belong, i mean should it be regarded as elemental in the construction of a fried bologna sandwich?

The reality is I'll never enjoy another fried bologna sandwich. Even the memory of my last fried bologna sandwich has long faded, but I am curious about what the FBS community has to say on the subject of mayonnaise.

I haven’t eaten FBS since I was a kid. When I was younger It was ketchup, and potato chips. When I got older I had it with lettuce, tomato, cheese and mayonnaise. My friend added peanut butter.
