Where to park when going backpacking in the Catskill mountains?

I plan on going backpacking with the basic necessities for a few days this upcoming month. I am just wondering where would I park my car for a few days without getting a ticket/paying a fee. Thank you.

I moved your thread to the backpacking section, because you're backpacking. Personally I would check with the local police or forest rangers in the vicinity of where you plan to park your vehicle.

agreed. I've gone backpacking the 'skills a few times; I have a friend with a house out there where we can park, but when its full you can usually park on the street. As long as you give the police/forest rangers a call you shouldnt have a problem
