  • Walden Pond Info!

Friends of Minute Man National Park
Lifeguards are on duty from Memorial Day to Labor Day at Walden Pond, another Concord National Historic Landmark. Come out to the pond to swim, canoe, picnic, and to check out the place where Henry David Thoreau lived from July 1845 to September 1847. His experience at Walden provided the material for the book Walden, which is credited with helping to inspire awareness and respect for the natural environment.
