A friend and I are trying to plan a three day weekend camping trip 4/15 - 4/17, someplace within a 3 hour drive from Burlington, NJ (08016).
This is what we're looking for:
1. Someplace fairly remote where we can hike in a few miles and set up camp. We're also looking for a place without designated campsites or a place that allows you to camp outside of the designated campsites. We don't really want to see or hear anyone else for three days. We understand that is virtually impossible with our geographical limitations, but we'd like it as close to that as possible.
2. Water. We don't need any large rivers or lakes, but just available water someplace nearby. A stream, creek, spring, or whatever. We're not planning on bringing much water with us, and we wanted to give our new water filter a test run.
3. Someplace we can build a fire.
If anyone knows anywhere that fits that description please let me know!
