I will be headed out to Alpine in a couple weeks for a class and I would like to know if there is any tent camping in or around Alpine. I camp in Ft Davis and Balmorhea often. Ft Davis is currently closed due to the wildfires and Balmorhea is just a bit to far since the class starts at 0830. I looked on the net and found several RV sites in and around Alpine, some may or may not allow tent camping. I was hoping for a more tent friendly place for a night or two. If anyone has suggestions or ideas I would appreciate it. I guess if worst comes to worst I can rent a room.
