We have a relatively large (12'x16') family tent that we picked up cheaply last year to accommodate our growing family. Due to the fact that it was the "tester trip" to see if hubby liked camping enough, I didn't want to drop hundreds of dollars to find out at the end that he never wanted to go again, I took the dreaded Wally World route and got a lesser quality tent than I've had in the past. My last tents lasted me 14 and almost 20 years.
So after 3 trips in the new family tent, Hubs somehow pulled the seam edging off the rainfly on one side. The edging is pulled right off the body of the rainfly for about 1.5-2 feet. I have NO idea how he managed to do this. We are headed out for our first trip of the season in a few weeks, and wondered if anyone has any tips on repairing this rip? Am I good just sewing it up on my sewing machine and sealing it again?
Thanks in advance!
