Designing an Insulated Tent
Hello,
I am in the process of designing an insulated tent. It is vis a vie, 6 person, 40mm thick inner wall and floor insulation. Nylon with ripstop and aluminium poles with a vestibule. I have chosen a bright red colour.
The main benefits are:
Keep heat in
Keep extreme heat out in warm climates
Large Acoustic benefits as the insulation is quiet dense.
It will be a little heavier but some of this will be offset by alu poles and nylon walls and fly.
It will be breathable but will also have 2 closable vents.
I guess my questions are:
Will it appeal to people?
Do you see any pitfalls?
What is important to remember?
Any other information?
Your input would be greatly appreciated.
