My credit card company routinely texts me that a charge has occurred and the amount of that charge. Last night, I ordered a sleeping bag. Within minutes I got the receipt in my email from the vendor and a text from my credit card company saying a charge has occurred. The issue for me is that the vendor charged my credit card four cents MORE than the actual amount. I asked them about it and they said it ALWAYS occurs, that the final amount would be corrected. This seems very unnecessary, more like a poor embezzlement scheme. At this point, I am just very amazed that it could be necessary and that people do not complain that it occurs. I've never seen it before. Has anybody regularly seen it with their accounts? Thanks.
