Hey all, a camping/backpacking newbie here who was hoping to get some advice from fellow packers. At the end of October I am going on a three day trip with a friend to Cumberland Island in Georgia. It's my first outing and right now we are working on ideas for meals on the trip. I currently have picked up a couple packages of Mountain House freeze dried food at the suggestion of someone who works at my local outfitters store. Other than the freeze dried food we are looking at trail mix and instant oatmeal for breakfast. I came to this site to ask you folks who are more experienced to give me your best recommendations for meal ideas. Let me know what worked for you, what didn't work and anything else you have to share. Thanks in advance.
