  • 2018 camping season

Well started making reservations for the 2018 season. While most of the camping i do is dispersed, occasionally i stay in campgrounds for the kayaking and lake access. the bad thing is CO is getting so crowded, you have to make reservations 6 months in advance i made reservations at Bellaire lake campground up near Red Feather Lakes area of CO. Also made reservations at Dowdy Lake in the same area. Here is a picture of Bellaire

Nice. The having to book so far in advance is a pain, but at least you have set trips to look forward to over the course of the season. I find it's easier to blow off a trip for various reasons when I haven't had them set in stone for months.

I have my June campsite reserved and will get my July campsite on Feb 16. Then will add August and September over the next couple months as they come available.

Have my birthday trip planned, but no reservations needed. That should be a great trip. And just did a one-nighter at a local state park to show a friend how to operate her RV systems. Ended up a nice evening once I replaced my coil and got the clipper moving.

Just got my August reservation in! So now I have March, June, July and August planned. May will be a rally. April is in limbo. Feels good to have some cofirmed plans!

I have made 2 more reservations, so 4 trips planned for the year. I think the rest will be dispersed camping

I know what you mean about Colorado. Just tried to make reservations and everything is booked, at least the larger sites I need. Oh well, maybe next year. Still planning to spend time there, just renting a cabin instead. We'll spend time scoping out prime spots and reserve next year on the first day reservations open. We're still planning a trip to Red River New Mexico. Not nearly as crowded and we love that little town. We'll spend about 4 nights in the tent. Looking forward to it. 75 degrees in the summer during the day and about 40 at night.
