I read somewhere that they were either sick of or amazed at the absolute commercialism of the show and decided to make the dumbest most unmarketable character they could think of. And Towlie was born.

But maybe Hitchhikers Guide was the inspiration.

Outdoing Mr Hankey took some doing.

That is one of the few episodes I don't like to watch.

I purchased some NAMA Gear line locks for my ridgeline. Now I think I might buy some more for my guylines.

You do know I don't like you now. :p Those claws - and the mitten hooks the company also sells - are gadgets. I love gadgets, especially little nifty ones like these. Now I absolutely have to go and buy some to check 'em out and they'll probably just wind up in the same box as the Figure Nine and Cam Jam line tighteners I bought and don't use.

Don't hate me because I love gadgets too!

I got to see the Claws in action at the Michigan Chili Hang last fall. Man, they are slick! And so super little. I've given up on my Tato tarp clips and hoping these Claws the cure.

I use mitten hooks all the time. I bought the cheap plastic ones from China (found them on ebay) but they do break easily. I might have to invest in some metal ones now.

I don't use hardware on my hammock setup, except for a couple of pieces of a hunting arrow. I like knots :-) The arrow pieces are used in conjunction with a larkshead knot. Dutchware, etc., Meh! I don't use a structural midline either, it just gets in the way. My Grand Trunk came with these heavy 'biner's which I ditched right away. I do love technology, but I am always looking for a simplistic alternative. It's my dual nature.
