Re: Journey to Watson Lake and Artic Circle

Signpost Forest in Watson Lake, Yukon was one of my goals for this trip. It was here that I posted a sign to honor my son who passed away two years ago.

Re: Journey to Watson Lake and Artic Circle

From Dawson City, Yukon I took the Dempster Highway to the Artic Circle. This highway is not for the faint of heart! The only gas station is in Eagle Plains, Yukon, so I had to fill up as close to the start as possible. This was a 500 mile round trip gravelly, pothole infested, and muddy road.

Thank you for posting up your pics and a write up of your journey! How very cool. A trip that many would not contemplate or execute. A nice trip...good future story telling.

I am assuming your Honda did good. Pretty impressive considering the roads. You should send a write-up (miles, mpg, oil changes, etc.---just like here) and those pics to Honda press/PR/etc. dept here in the US. I am sure they would love to see their vehicle taking on this adventure with you. It's good PR for them. Who knows...you might get some Honda swag from them.
