Re: DIY Camp Kitchen
Sorry I missed your post earlier; some types of gas cylinders are readily available here, one of the most popular is a screw threaded one pound propane tank I suspect you cannot use these.
Some small pierce style butane or mixed gas/Gaz cylinders are also available (though less popular here);
...I rarely see the larger size in stores.
There seems to be two styles of valve type camping gaz cylinders, one threaded and another unthreaded, available of these seems to be spotty at best in the stores that I frequent,
http://adventuresinstoving.blogspot....sters-101.html
again I usually see the smaller/shorter canisters.
EDIT; I was in Wal-Mart today and saw a large size screw on/threaded style Coleman canister;
Probably the best chance of getting fuel for your particular stove would be from an outfitter like REI in one of the larger cities near your destination.
Target and Wal-mart (large chain stores that are pretty much everywhere) also carry some types but your best bet would be to search on the internet using these stores and even then you may be disappointed, since different stores stock different items.
Hope it helps...
Enjoy!
