    Hi all!

I have a Fun Finder 189FBR (18') and have done a ton of cheap or free mods to it. I didn't see a board for mods, so wanted to share my ideas here. Some might be interesting to you and some you might have some improvements I didn't think of - I have a post with over 50 (with photos) here:

Let me know what you think!!!

Great site here! Let me know where you share your mods.

Lovin' your blog! True to my nick, I love seeing a problem and figuring a way to make it work the way I want it to.

Half the fun of doing this stuff is figuring it out. And then figuring out how to do it with what I have in my stash of junk and not having to buy anything. My husband used to make fun of me for saving every little piece of things, but they come in so handy lol. Now when something of his breaks he brings it to me and goes hey I think you could use this for something. I've totally ruined him lol. So do you have your Camper mod pictures anywhere?

        Re: 18' Camper Mods

Some nice mods. I laughed when I saw your kitchen faucet. I did the same thing - found the faucet at a local auction for $20. Love it so much more than the cheap basic one that was there before.

My mods haven't been quite so involved. I wanted more counter space, so I picked up some stainless counter top shelves:

I added these baskets above the sink - they're perfect to hold toothbrush, paste, wash rag, soap dispenser, lotion dispenser - and they don't fall out while driving down the road. I removed the suction cups and attached them to the wall with small cup hooks:

I have a few others I'll post later.

          Like your blog.
I have an 18ft, too. Going to add an over the door hanger for storing towels in the bathroom, and hanging a laminated US map by the bed. Getting a Scrubba for doing clothes.

Thanks! What's a scrubba? I want a small washer, too!

              This is a Scrubba -

I am also considering the Breathing Mobile Washer, but it takes more water to use -

                Re: 18' Camper Mods

                Hi All!

Well, an update on the washer discussion - over the past two years, my husband and I have been taking 2 month long camping trips - and after I tried washing clothes in a tub and messed up my hands from wringing them out - for my birthday, my dear husband fulfilled my wish! A washer for the FunFinder! YAY! No more laundries!! We got the Haier 1 cu ft model I washed a 'test' load and it holds a bunch and cleans & spins as well as our big $1000 washer.

Since my camper is smaller than my truck, it was fun finding a place to put it - we actually found the perfect place! I haven't gotten it completely installed yet, but I have some photos of what I've done so far (plus found new hidden storage!!) here - Wacky Pup Blog

So, let me know what you think

                  Re: 18' Camper Mods

I ended up getting a Laundry Pod for when we are camping more than a few days. All manual and uses less than four gallons of water for a small load. Has a spin cycle and is pretty versatile.

                    Re: 18' Camper Mods

I got my "laundry room" done - well, actually, it's been done about a week, but I hate sitting on the computer and getting the pictures ready So! Anyway! Here it is - can't wait to go camping and use it!! We will probably remove the washer for short trips to minimize the time it spends banging about. But next year for our big National Park trip - it's going to be amazing!! Of course we'll have to stay somewhere other than a national park once a week so we have water & electric lol!

                    So - here's my new laundry room - https://wackypup.blogspot.com/

Let me know what you think. I also added a new knock-down table big enough for dining and games, rebuilt the rolling cart, added a new set of shelves, replaced all the blinds with curtains, and discovered a great way to hang a tv with invisible reinforcement! Posts to come!

Let me know what you think.
