Canadian Road Trip 2015

This summer we packed up our 1998 Ford E150 stealth camping van dubbed "The Ice Box" and drove north the long way to Canada from the Bay Area in California. Our first stop was Christian Encounter Ministries Family camp in Grass Valley, CA. The camp is a retreat center for youth with troubles-like a last chance before the parents or authorities give up on the kids.

The kids and staff run the camp for family members and anyone that wants to come and relax for an amazing 4 day weekend.

God Bless You, Markee. I have had plenty of experience with "troubled kids/teens". For a lot of them "troubled" is a huge understatement. I don't think I could have a relaxing weekend at a camp full of troubled kids/teens around.

It was amazing being served by these teenagers. The success rate is high in this camp as most kids never return to camp or detention.

I am trying to finish the write up for the entire trip. I was having a difficult time uploading photos. I will do several posting of our 3 week trip.
