Too hot and humid to go out. Stayed home and made a pork roast.

Re: Pork roast with the fixins
What a nice set up and good eats to come!
On topic, a local market is selling pork shoulder for .99@lb. Trying to figure out if I should wait until the price goes down to .69-.79@lb or if I'm just dreaming that the prices of 4 years back still hold, LOL.
How long did you cook the roast for and how many times did you need to replenish the coals?2017:

Aug 2 to Aug 14- adult trip to recover from kiddos' outing. Bring on the Campari!

Re: Pork roast with the fixins
It was a little over 3 lb. roast. Cook about 2 1/2 hours. Replenished the coals 2 times. I did 12 coals underneath and 8 on top. I'm sure the meat was done sooner but I never have a problem with roasts going longer in the dutch ovens.

I made this from an old outdoor table frame. Cut and fastened a 1/4 in. piece of steel for the top and bent up a piece of aluminum from an old storm door for the side shields.
...but then, of course, you would not have a camp table.
