Re: Tent advice?
I camp very often in northern Wisconsin. After much consideration, last week I purchased an ALPS Taurus 5. You can see my criteria for making this purchase at this camping forums thread. http://www.campingforums.com/forum/s...an-stand-up-in
I chose the ALPS Mountaineering Taurus 5 Outfitter. It can fit two queen beds (10' X 8'). Over 6' tall, and has a full length rain fly. It has two screen doors for good ventilation and convenience. It also has two vestibules to stash your shoes and gear out of the rain, but outside your tent.. It is easy to set up. http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/s/ref=is...us+5+outfitter
They have a larger 6 person Taurus also.
Wisconsin gets a lot of rain, so you need a full length fly. Mosquitoes are plentiful and it can be hot as he'll one week and cold the next, so you want a tent with good screened ventilation AS WELL AS the ability to zip the tent up for warmth.
