This weekend plan on some hiking in NE PA,
around here fires are rarely an issue especially when its raining out as we speak,
I will be hiking a trail I am not that familiar with,
so I reached out to check on some rules/regs like camping/fires etc...
and this is the response I got
for those out west, this is probably common, but rarity here
----------------------
We are in a “red alert” for brush fires; therefore, no open flames will be permitted on the trails. In fact, this past weekend, a brush fire destroyed in excess of 400 acres of forestry. Sad loss, and we’re hoping to reduce any further risks of fire.
Thanks for asking...
