For anyone looking for a great, semi-secluded campground in the Redwood forests of Northern California, I would definitely recommend Bullfrog Pond campground, within the Austin Creek State Recreation Area. Here is a link to further information: http://www.stewardscr.org/cms/pages/...k_camping.html
It is tent-only camping, which provides some seclusion. The road to get to this campgroud can be tricky to navigate however. I would recommend using only an all-wheel drive car and keep an eye out for cars coming back down the mountain. The road is not quite big enough to fit two cars. Once you do reach the campground though, you will be rewarded with gorgeous views over the redwood treetops. This campground was like its own personal oasis in the middle of the forest.
